Career model

I think I like this kind of career model. Work in a huge corporation(IBM, e.g.) for a very long time (1978-1993), and then started realizing his own ideas and dreams like a mad man(12 projects in a dozen of years).
One of my favorite stories of entrepreneurs is like this:
The idea of going into the web hosting industry came to Amir Golestan when he could not afford any more damaging downtime in his own business. Another factor that led him into the hosting industry was the lateness of responses to his inquiries, from the other hosting companies, which could take up to 2-3 business days.
